Frank Lucas of Cheyenne says the only certainty is “we’re going to spend less on everything.” The House Agriculture Chairman stressed that point repeatedly in an interview with CapitolBeatOK. Lucas also said he plans to cut $33 billion in current-year Farm Bill spending.

In an interview with CapitolBeatOK, Missouri initiative activist Travis Brown talks about the efforts of his “Let Voters Decide” Committee to press a ballot measure to eliminate personal income taxes in the Show Me State. Brown says he’s proud to be part of what the Wall Street Journal has called a “Heartland Tax Rebellion.” He said he’s encouraged to see the Oklahoma Legislature pushing personal income tax cuts or elimination. He said the Missouri measure’s supporters will know in May whether or not they’ll make the November ballot
